Getting Acquainted with the Match Cycle Timeline

Timeline of Events:

Dates	Events
May 31, 2024	2024 ERAS season ends at 5 p.m. ET.
June 5, 2024	2025 ERAS season begins at 9 a.m. ET.
June 28, 2024	Applicants can start purchasing ERAS tokens on ECFMG's OASIS portal and register with AAMC's myERAS.
	In the meantime, start preparing your personal statement (PS), completing your ERAS CV, researching various residency programs through websites like Residency Explorer and Freida, and compiling your list of programs to apply to.
Sept. 4, 2024	Residency applicants may begin submitting MyERAS applications to programs at 9 a.m. ET.
Sept 15, 2024 - Jan 31, 2025	NRMP Match Registration to create your R3 account (where you'll prepare your rank-order list later on)
Sept. 25, 2024	Residency programs may begin reviewing MyERAS applications and MSPEs in the PDWS at 9 a.m. ET.
	This would be the time to: 1. Start preparing for interviews. Start by exploring the most frequently asked questions during interviews, and preparing a rough draft of your responses for each of them. 2. Spend time on extensively researching about programs you receive an interview from, so that you understand why you're a suitable candidate for their program, and also have insightful doubts to pose during the interviews.
November, 2024 to February, 2025	Interview months for IMGs
February 1, 2025	NRMP rank-order list (ROL) opens
February 28, 2025	NRMP ROL certification deadline
March 11, 2025	Applicant match status available (You'll get to know whether you matched or not)
March 15, 2025	Match Day (You'll get to know which program you matched at)
May 31, 2025	2025 ERAS season ends at 5 p.m. ET.
